Gene Newtrich is a villain who appeared in Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman.
It was he who discovered Red Kryptonite and Superman's apathy when exposed to it, which would later be used by his own two daughters to their advantage.
He was portrayed by O'Neal Compton.
