It's Lois and Clark's wedding night, the newlyweds are in a clinch and H.G. Wells pops up with connubiality-busting news.
Lois and Clark are ready to consummate their marriage when their friend; time traveller H.G. Wells appears to inform them that they cannot do it since there is a curse on their love and if they do, tragedy would strike every time they consummate. The man who is behind the curse is the evil Tempus and the only way to lift it is for them to travel back in time, to their past lives when the curse was used.
They first travel back in time to a Medieval era where Tempus is a Lord known as Baron Tempos and Clark is Sir Charles, his best knight. Clark does not have his powers but he has a secret identity called the Fox, a Robin Hood type hero who steals from the rich and gives to the poor. Lois is Lady Lane, Baron Tempos' girlfriend but also the Fox's secret lover.
Lois and Clark try to break the curse and when they think they did, they get back to Metropolis in the present, only to discover that Tempus is out of prison, now a King and about to marry Lois.
They go back in time again this time to a Western era where Clark has another secret identity as a gun slinging hero called the Lone Rider. Tempus is now bandit Tempus Tex and he is blackmailing Lulu (who is Lois) into marrying him or he'll kill her parents.
Clark rescues Lois' parents, fights Tempus and hands him over to be arrested by the Sheriff. They then all return to the present and discover that the curse has been lifted and Metropolis is back to normal. H.G. Wells leaves wishing them many happy regards for their future together while Lois and Clark finally consummate their marriage.
